Introduction to Seorae Village

Seorae Village is a village across from Banpo Sports Complex at the southern end of Banpo Bridge in Seoul. As you pass through Seorae-ro, you can see the luxury villa village at a glance.
It is called Seorae Village because the stream in front of the village flows through a meandering path, and the other village is located on the western shore, with the steep Cheongryong Mountain behind it, so it was called Seorae, but later, due to a phonetic change, it came to be called Seorae.
When the French School in Korea moved here in 1985, Seorae Village became a residential area for French people, and as the Global Village was naturally established, foreigners from many other countries also chose Seorae Village as their residence.
If you go into the streets of Seorae Village, you can find the Seoul French School.
A road sign that reads Attention Ecole (Attention in front of the school) in French attracts attention.
This village is called the French Street of Seoul.
The shops in Seorae Village are simple and cute, and there are many shops and restaurants that look like small European restaurants.
In every alley, there are French-style wine bars, high-end coffee shops, and cafes and restaurants with balconies where you can enjoy a meal or tea while enjoying the sunlight, making it one of the most stylish places in Seoul.
As it has gained popularity, there are more cafes than restaurants, and since it is originally a residential area, parking is not easy, so it is recommended to use public transportation.
It is located 850m from exit 4 of Sinbanpo Station on metropolitan subway line 9.

Later, in 1856 (the 7th year of King Cheoljong's reign), King Sunjo's tomb from Paju, Gyeonggi-do was moved to its current location, and when Empress Sunwon passed away the following year, the tomb was built in the form of a joint tomb.
