It was designated as an urban natural park in 1977.
The mountain was named Bulamsan Mountain because its shape resembles that of Buddha wearing a pine tree, and it is also called Cheonbosan Mountain or Pilamsan Mountain.
The ridge stretches out for a long time, so you can enjoy the cool scenery, and the mountain path is not rough, so you can climb it easily.
In particular, if you climb to the top at night, you can enjoy a wonderful night view of Seoul.
Bulamsan Mountain Shrine is located on the second peak of Bulamsan Mountain, 420m above sea level.
This mountainous area is also marked as a mountainous area on Daedongyeojido and is about 300 paces in size.
The rocky cliffs here and there are used as rock climbing practice areas.
There are about 10 hiking trails and mineral springs.

Suraksan Mountain, which rises on the border of Seoul, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do, and Byeolnae-myeon, Namyangju-si, is dotted with famous sites such as Geumryu, Eunryu, and Okryu waterfalls, Heungguksa Temple built during the Silla Dynasty, Naewonsa Temple built during the Joseon Dynasty, Seoknimsa Temple, and Gwesanjeong Pavilion.
Bulamsan Mountain rises to the south of Suraksan Mountain, and Dobongsan Mountain stands proudly facing the west.
Among the many hiking courses on Mt. Surak, the course preferred by Seoul citizens is the course that starts in front of Danggogae Station on Subway Line 4 and passes by Haknimsa Temple and Yongguram Grotto.
The ridge adjacent to Mt. Bulam is beautiful with azaleas in spring.

Introduction to Taereung and Gangneung
Historical sites Taereung and Gangneung include Taereung, which enshrines Queen Munjeong Yun, the second wife of King Jungjong, the 11th king of the Joseon Dynasty, and Gangneung, which enshrines the 13th king Myeongjong and his queen, Queen Insun.
*Taereung Taereung is the tomb of Queen Munjeong, the third queen of King Jungjong, the 11th king of the Joseon Dynasty.
Taereung is so magnificent that it is hard to believe that it is the queen's tomb.
The tomb is in accordance with the tomb rites in 『National Oryeui』, and the burial mound is surrounded by folding screen stones and railing stones.
Cloud patterns and the zodiac signs were engraved on the folding screen stone, and the 12 zodiac signs were engraved on the manseok.
Originally, the 12 signs of the zodiac began to be written in letters to express the zodiac signs when the folding screen stones were omitted and only the railing stones were constructed. However, starting with Taereung, the zodiac signs and letters were engraved together.
In addition, the setting sun, lagoon, Jangmyeong lantern, Honyuseok, Mangjuseok, Munmu Seokin, and Seokma were placed around and in front of the burial mound.
In particular, it is unique that Munseok-in and Wu-seok-in have earring holes in their earlobes.
Below the tomb, the Hongsalmun Gate, Panwi, Hyang-Eo-ro, Restoration Room, Jeongjagak, and Monument were placed. Jeongjagak was restored in 1994 after being destroyed during the Korean War.
In 1565 (the 20th year of King Myeongjong's reign), Queen Munjeong Yun passed away and the tomb site was set near King Jungjong's Jeongneung Royal Tomb (Sinjeongneung Royal Tomb), but due to King Myeongjong's opposition, Queen Munjeong's tomb was set at the current location. The name of the tomb was Taereung.
Originally, Queen Munjeong wanted to be buried next to her husband, King Jungjong, so she discussed with Bow, the abbot of Bongeunsa Temple at the time, and moved King Jungjong's tomb, which was next to the tomb (Heereung) of King Jungjong's second queen, Queen Janggyeong, to its current location on the grounds that it was considered unlucky according to feng shui. .
However, because the Jeongneung tomb was moved to a low area, flood damage often occurred when it rained, so Queen Munjeong was buried in its current location.
According to the Annals of King Seonjo, there is a record that tombs were dug up by Japanese enemies in Taereung and Gangneung, as well as in Seolleung and Jeongneung, during the Japanese invasions of Korea.
*Gangneung Gangneung is the tomb of Myeongjong, the 13th king of the Joseon Dynasty, and Queen Insun.
Gangneung is a twin tomb where the king and queen's tombs are built side by side on the same hill. When viewed from in front of Jeongjagak, the tomb of Myeongjong is on the left and Queen Insun's tomb is on the right.
The overall tomb was built in the same form as Queen Munjeong's Taereung, and the burial mound was surrounded by folding screen stones and railing stones, and Jangmyeongdeung, Honyuseok, Mangjuseok, setting sun, lagoon, stone horse, and Munmuseokin were placed.
Below the tomb, there is Hongsalmun Gate, Hyang·eoro, Jeongjagak, and Monument, and to the left of Jeongjagak there is a round Eojeong (御井).
Eojeong refers to a well dug for the king to drink water.
It can also be seen in places such as Gwangneung and Sungneung.
King Myeongjong passed away in 1567 (the 22nd year of King Myeongjong's reign), a few days after his mother Queen Munjeong's three-year funeral, and he first built a tomb on the hill east of Taereung.
Afterwards, when Queen Insun Sim passed away in 1575 (the 8th year of King Seonjo's reign), a twin tomb was built to the left of Myeongjong's Gangneung tomb.
The distance between Taereung and Gangneung is 2 km, and it takes 4 to 5 bus stops.
You must be accompanied by a guide to take a walk around Taereung and Gangneung, and it takes about an hour.
There are many places worth visiting nearby, including Taereung Blue Garden and the Military Academy.
