Introduction to Galsan Neighborhood Park

Unlike the other mountains in Yangcheon-gu, which are generally round in shape, Galsan Mountain boasts a spectacular view with its eastern part cut like a cliff.

There is a children's traffic park at the entrance of Galsan Mountain, a rest area such as a central plaza and walking path on the midslope, and an observatory at the top where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Yangcheon.
At the top of Galsan Mountain, Korea's first 'Daesamgak Main Branch' is installed next to 'Galsanjeong'.
This triangulation point is an important national facility that serves as the standard for all surveys. It is a survey reference point installed for the first land survey project in Korea in June 1910, and is an important cultural heritage of Yangcheon-gu that has been designated as a Seoul future heritage site.
