This park was created by the Seoul Metropolitan Government by purchasing the site where the OB Beer factory was located. The purpose of this park is to provide residents with a space for rest and leisure activities in a situation where there is a lack of green space in densely populated areas such as Yeongdeungpo 1-dong, Daerim-dong, Dorim-dong, and Singil-dong. was created.
This was the site of the OB Beer factory for 60 years, but when the factory moved to Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do in 1997, the city of Seoul purchased the site and turned it into a park.
Remnants of the factory include pure copper brewing pots used to make beer, which remain as landmarks in the park.
The park has various facilities centered around a circular plaza, and around it is a marker indicating the administrative districts of Seoul by district.
Initially, the existing factory chimney was intended to remain in the center of the plaza, but for safety reasons, it was replaced with a zelkova tree.
